Solar unit that turns to face the sun

This project, completed some time ago, involved the design and programming of a solar tracking system using EV3 Lego Mindstorms technology. The goal was to create a solar panel that continuously oriented itself to face the sun, maximizing energy absorption throughout the day. Utilizing the versatility of the EV3 platform, I constructed a robotic system equipped with light sensors to detect the sun’s position. The programming enabled the solar panel to adjust its angle in real time, ensuring optimal alignment with sunlight.

This early project not only provided practical experience in robotics and programming but also served as an exploration of renewable energy applications.
