Building a chicken feeder

This project involved building a treadle chicken feeder to prevent sparrows from eating the chicken feed. I based the design on a plan I found online (https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/building-a-treadle-chicken-feeder.47900/?page=3) and adjusted it to better suit my chickens’ needs. These adjustments included modifying the weight required to open the lid and optimizing the feeder’s capacity to hold the appropriate amount of feed. I built it twice, the first one got destroyed because it was out in the rain too much. Both versions were built out of scrap wood so it’s not very asthetically pleasing… But very practical, would recommend.
